Over the past 15 years, the United Nations has recorded more than 1,700 allegations of sexual abuse by its peacekeeping forces in conflict zones around the world. The documentary “The UN Sex Scandal” examines why the problem of sexual abuse persists despite UN countermeasures and why only 53 soldiers and one civilian UN employee have ever been sent to prison for sexual crimes.
